		Christian Viollaz Owner/Broker, Realtor (831) 277-6237 I am originally from Evian, a little town nestled in the French Alps between Geneva in Switzerland and Aosta in Italy. I moved to the Monterey Peninsula 27 years ago looking for adventure and to experience the American Dream. I have been a cooking for over 20 years, a graduate from Casino Royal Evian in 1983. I was Executive Chef at L' Escargot restaurant in Carmel before opening my own in 1990. I named it first Caddyshack Cafe (I used to caddie Pebble Beach Golf Courses during the day time and I used that money to open my restaurant) I later on renamed Chez Christian Bistro & Restaurant. I had my restaurant in Carmel for the past 10 years, sold it and I made a career change to real estate. There is a lot of similarity between both businesses both require discipline and hard work. I passed my real estate license in September, 2001 and joined Re/max of Monterey Peninsula. I obtained my Broker License and opened my own brokerage in June 2004. To have A better understanding of the real estate financing, I also mortgaged loan as a Mortgage Broker from 2005 through 2008. One last component that I was missing so I can better serve my clients and protect their assets was to understand how the real estate market fluctuates, so I passed my appraiser license in 2011. I have been a broker for over four years and was working on my own and before that I was with a local real estate office in Monterey as a realtor and a loan officer. I have been licensed since 2000.
